I currently own an Amek Angela. For the most part, the pres are pretty dark sounding but they do serve me well. I am currently looking to invest in a few more pres to "various of color"

anybody recommend any pres? Maybe the APIs?

I'd like to keep it under $1,600 as well.

Was this album recorded live? What mics were used, etc? sounds like room mics were mostly used in the mix for "dinosaur act".
