Have you check on other Stereos?

DAT (at least the oversampling will help you can get them for dirt on ebay)

MasterLink (great and affordable)

THe Langevin Dual Vocal Combo is great for the $... the Compressor section only works well on certain things...the Pre and EQ are greeaaaatt!

Try to find a Molex gun....this thing rocks...it has different tips for different size connectors...it perfectly jams the wire in the hole....and ratchets to the next wire....uber cool.

I have seen a picture of Ringo's drums in a similar structure during a beatles session ( the structure described...not the actual cage). I would assume it gives you a tight dead sound ....

if you are sure of your tones...you could mount the amps chassis' in a box and just leave them set. Run a stereo volume control to control both amps....you may have to add a pot to buffer one .....then hook up a power switch to your strip and voila' you got a single on/off switch and a single volume...
