do you apply the RIAA eq during the premastering process in your DAW after the whole mastering effects?
how did you program the curve in the DAW? did you use the enhanced one?

or does the cutting factory apply the RIAA curve when they create the master?

i think realigning is more 'real world'. on the other hand... lets take snare top and snare bottom mics ("same" kind of mic), angled at the "same" degree and placed right on top of each other on a vertical line... you could almost be sure to flip the phase 180° on the bottom mic,...

sure, but if you'd like it exactly 180° then "phase reverse" is shiny.
