The M80 has a really nice creamy distorted sound. Though it doesn't get distorted as easy as the M40. But it had more low end as I tested both of them at the local guitar shop. But it's not easy to get tubes for the M80... Has really special ones. Maybe someone knows where to buy them at a fair pri...

The B40N had 5/20ohm outputs too. I used the 20ohm with the 16ohm cab, and it was just fine.

When I saw them I remember seeing a space-echo somewhere in the massive pile of gear on stage. It could just be a "kind of broken" Space Echo. I have not heard the GYBE bit you're talking about. However, the above could well be, but rather it's tape that has creases or is somehow not smoo...

though, from what I've heard (the old records), the voice is a bit too 'styled' at times, at least for my tastes. I prefer Jacques Brel by a very long shot.
