Dhalgren is long and slow in parts, but I really did enjoy it. It was one of those books that stayed with me and I thought about long after I read it. I found the reality/identity/sexuality themes interesting and disturbing. Definately not crap and well worth the read.

The first time I ever saw them play in Kelowna in 1986 was one of the most amazing live performances I have ever seen. They were a revelation. Jesus Lizard like energy. I've seen them numerous times since. I find their records do not capture the live power. I should sell my copy of mama on ebay.

My friend and I took our girlfriends to see it when it first came out. At the end they were angry at us like we had made the movie. I enjoyed it. One of Ferrara's rare good movies.

She made me harder than ten men.
