Multiple mixdowns in a mixdown.

Hey there folks, I just have a quick question... My band is mixing our record right now. Our guitar player/singer is doing it all in Adobe Audition, on his laptop, with some pretty nice mixing monitors, and has had some issues with low RAM (though he up'd it by a Gig and is STILL having issues). Som...

Your First Band

My first band was called Patterns of Age and consisted of myself playing bass, a guitarist (my older brother), and two of our friends. We called ourselves Patterns Of Age because there was a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior in the band...we were really clever. We had about 20 orig...

Audio Manipulation Software

Fruity Loops is easy as hell to use, and with the XXL Producer Edition, and some good samples, its pretty awesome. People talk shit because they think the samples are shitty and its too simple. Recently, I've been playing bass with a few bands, and I noticed that my bass tone is totally lame. I have a Spector Performer 4dlx, and I've played it...

Real-Time Granular Synthesis

Hey there folks, In the weeks to come I'm going to be working with a friend on a musical project of his, and he wants to have some live processing involved. I've read up on Granular Synthesis, and I've learned to use some Granular Synthesizing software that allows you to use samples or prerecorded t...
