beyer m260n

I bought a really old beyer M260 off eBay. I really like it as a mono drum overhead. I also use it for vocals, though in this application it may need a little high end EQ boost. Mine started to develop a fuzzy distortion at high volumes. I sent it to a gentleman named Mark Fuksman who hangs out over...

Suggest a GREAT mixer

They are extremely rare, but if you find one they are usually quite inexpensive because nobody knows about them: The Biamp Legend I just got one of these consoles and they have discrete, four transistor preamps and sound good. Because it was made by Biamp, everyone thinks it's crap. It is an inline ...

I think having only six lugs gives it a deeper, thicker sound, plus it has those old fashioned rims. I wish I owned one just like it! m The mic was a Shure KSM141 ...

Studio B Iso-booth.

The drums on Songs:Ohia's "Magnolia Electric Co." were recorded in the isolation room of studio B. Most of the songs were done with the door closed, but on "Peoria Lunch Box Blues" the door was left open.

Snare Drum Tuning

If your only complaint about your snare is it has too much ring, I'd definitely try using one of these hea...
