Thanks all! It's nice not to be dead and/or on the hook for thousands of dollars.

Now to deal with the daily horrors of being alive in the US.

Today I won my war with my health insurance and now instead of paying $52k in hospital bills, I am paying $242.

The amount of stupid hoops I needed to hop through was wild, but its done and I knew it (maybe naively) would work out, but the relief I feel is palpable.

I went to the Chicago Comic Con in 91 and besides comics, I went to one of the little tables that sold bootleg movies. I was shocked to discover I could buy the uncut Friday the 13th and Evil Dead. The dude working the table could see I was buzzing around and totally stoked at all these weird movies...
