I'd suggest talking to Stewart at Xaudia. He's super knowledgeable and helpful and seems to know everything about every ribbon mic ever made. He could likely point you in the right direction on your hunt for a transformer or maybe even make what you need.

Anyone have experience getting decent sound from Hi Z mics? I have a 50Kohm ribbon on the way and I'm wondering how it will sound if I run it through a DI or something. Are you sure it 50Kohm and not 50 ohm? Lots of old ribbons and dynamics like the Altec salt-shaker mics we're super low impedance....

Bry Webb of the Constantines played one for years and it sounded amazing there. It was parked in my old studio for a while. I didn't use it much but when I did it was good. It was really nice clean. Nice driven too but very loud to get to that sound like every other super I've ever played.
