Ah - looks like there's a 22K resistor between 6 and 4 pin (?)

Does this have to be on the mic connector side? Could it be on the p/s side to make the switch easier to implement?

Or even easier - Could the 21b capsule be used with the resistor in place?

This thing seems to work now, despite the ugly work done to the inside of the power supply. Last questions regarding my purchase:

Should I be pissed about this thing being sloppily re-capped? Are the original big silver caps a must have?
