it's going to be impossible for you to do any real "mastering" of a project you play on, recored and mixed yourself.

i'd suggest taking a closer look at what you can do to your mix to make it sound more like what you want...

mastering is more about adding a new (yet experienced) pair of ears ...

i must say i'm happy to see this brought up here. linux audio has come a long way in the last few years. linux audio apps are what got me to finally start using linux. i use linux for everything non audio related. the day i can use waves in muse & ardour, i'll be in linux daw land... for now the DSP ...

for a year now i've been on music "culture" hiatus via sound guy burnout... now i'm diving back over to the other side of the board and have been getting a new band together. we have been getting some writing done and have (prolly) found a drummer... now we just need some of that ...

well they arent lomo mics.. they are oktava
i have a pair of 012's i like them, i didnt buy the 'matched pair'from the soundroom
they work fine as overheads
ive used them on guitar cabs, toms, snare

i do not own, but have used the 319s
only on guitar cabs
they did the job, nothing to rave ...

after much internal debate I opted out...
mostly due to the fact that I had very little sleep the nights before...
I've allready been through the pain of being ripped off and didn't feel like bonding with anyone over the issue while being on the verge of getting sick...
and pro-tools facilties ...
