I'm going to record a metal band (drums, bass, guitar, voice).
Guitar is tuned a 5th down (B-E-A-D-#F-B).
Listening during reharsals they have a very huge bass sound and lot of energy. Tips for rec and mix?
Music like Tool, Korn ecc.

just now I tried to connect a condenser mic through a passive splitter (it has a transformer inside) and phantom from the mixers does'nt go in. Tried with both mixers, nothing happens. I measured the voltage at the splitter with a tester and there is nothing between ground and hot or ground ...

I see. I don't know why that is. those values may change if you do the rest of the calibrating (adjusting, electrically the position of the tension arms in edit and play, then doing the similar adjustments for FF and REW). I can't explain.

there are no sections about alignment, calibrations, schematics ecc.
