Otari's are totally solid, easy to maintain, just don't burn out the motor putting fucked, used reels on it. (Word of advice, fit a fuse to the motor, replacments are real expensive)
There are probably better sounding multitracks, but i still give the MTR 90 .....10 out of 10 for being total ...

I'm having a trouble distributing my headphone mixes and was after some advice. I'm currently using a crappy Behringer powerplay 4 channel amplifier and deriving my mixes from the aux sends on our Trident.
Headphones are DT 100's, but we are just not getting enough volume to the cans and are ...

What is the consensus though...should the resonant head be tighter than the batter?

I am slowly getting a bit better at this, but am still finding it hard to make a cheap tom sound ok. Apart from drastic eq, and (obviously) using good drums...What techniques do you guys use..does anyone have any interesting tips? Thanks.
