hands down weirdest band I have ever seen is Waxworks of a Dynasty. We played w/ them in St Louis w/ the Conformists. They were young, late-teens I would guess and played, what they thought was tight, anal-retentive, complicated math metal, but what came out of their amps was this fucking insane, disjointed sort of Captain Beefheart/Saccahrine Trust splurt. And they looked strange while they were playing, making weird faces and they seemed to be having an arguement or something. Talking to them afterwards they seemed really into the Mars Volta and I am pretty sure they had no clue how abrasive/fucked-up/weird they actually sounded. I thought they were great, if unintentially great

Anal Cunt - Girls eating each other out on stage

Cattle Decapitation - Masks made of beef jerky

(First time I saw) The Locust - Just fucking weird

(First time I saw) Clutch - This little guy with a huge beard, smelling of piss, walks onstage, grabs the mic and DESTROYS. That man was Neil Fallon.

311 - They played at a party when I was in college. I was on acid. Horrible band, even when you are tripping out of your fucking mind. Also, this was the last time I did acid.
Vince Clortho = retaliation $& beard;
[img]DefinitelyNOTtheSWEDE = retaliation $& text = "no ceramics in the signal path, mate, only plastic film" endline; SUB $&01001110; BNE $&01000011; JMP $&00011101;Err $&D0256FA2;

I saw the Ruins in like 97 or 98 at the Entry. One of the opening bands was called "Buffo". The whole time we were trying to figure out if they were a joke, or just really fucking weird. It was two guys playing in those robes that Sumo wrestlers wear. The guitar player had a (later to be destroyed) naked baby doll inside the belt thing that kept his robe closed. He played a good portion of the show hanging upside down from the ceiling. I don't think it would be as weird now, but it was at the time.

No Neck Blues Band a couple years ago at a music festival here in town. Of their hour long set, I think they played for ten minutes and spent the rest of the time throwing shit at the crowd and screaming at people. The throwing started with fruit then a clave then a cymbal. I was kind of worried about my head. One of the dudes who kind of looked like Buffalo Bill ("I'd fuck me") put a Conga on his head and climbed up to the balcony and walked (probably 25 ft above the floor) along a one foot wide rail.

aaahhhh Buffo...classic, they were no joke. I think I saw them about a dozen times, I used to have an old computer monitor I "won" at raffle during on of their shows.

Once in the Entry the guitar player threw his guitar into the wall next to the stage and stuck straight in, like a spear.

Which reminds me: Happy Grindcore, German performance thing, singer terrorized the crowd and the other guy played two long metal wires nailed to a 2x4

He also ground a broken beer bottle into his hand.

Dude next to me got beaned in the head by an orange. Then Connolly ranted for a few minutes about how much the Twins sucked. Best show ever!

I thought addressing that post directly to you re:Buffo. I figured you were there. I think I saw you at every one of the first 50 shows I came to in Mpls (back when I had to travel from SD). That probably weirds you out...sorry. I figured out who you were via the STNNNG connection. Buffo was local I assume?
