12If there were 150 albums with "Dig a Pony," I would buy every fucking one of them.

the '1' cd that a friend gave me
i might own the 'red' and 'blue' anthologies. i certainly played them quite a bit as a youth.
so let's say three for sure, discounting one unopened cd and two doubles that i may not have ever had in my actual possession

14Zero. For those of you who've read the other thread, I'm sure this comes as no surprise.

15I have all the proper released LPs and a mess of poor sounding boots that were mostly released later as part of the Anthology sets (which I really love as well...all three sets). I did buy the Let it Be- Naked but only listened to it a few times. I find it good mostly to hear that record through McCartney's ears and ego. I have many of the Apple singles too. My most prized one is a DJ copy of "Meet the Beatles" with the labels hand typed with a misspelling of 'Beatles' with two 't's'. Not in mint condition by any definition but a fun oddity to have.
I have CDs of all the LPs too, the Parlaphone versions. If they come up with another format to listen to music on, I am sure I will play their game and buy it all on the new format. I rarely go too long without listening to some Beatles somewhere... or solo stuff by one of them. George's Beware of Atco boot is one of the best post Beatles releases in my opinion.
I am always sceptical of people that do not have any Beatles...like they are trying to make a point or something. I think having a good history of music in your head and ears and chest and nether regions is a good thing and informs (both positively and negatively) the music you make. From a historian's position, I see no reason to not own any of it, other than laziness or extreme poverty.

16My wife's mom gave her an LP box set containing the English versions of all the official LPs, plus a "Rarities" LP.
I'm glad it has the "Rarities" LP so that I can listen to "Rain" whenever I want. "Hey Bulldog" too, that one rules.
I listen to the White Album several times a year.
I'd like to have a copy of "Strawberry Fields Forever" but I don't care enough about the other Beatles' non-LP singles.
The Beatles. Wtf.

Or maybe I just don't like the Beatles? I like a couple of songs, but mostly I feel that they're the most overrated band of all time. Give me the Stones, Kinks, Who, or Pretty Things (or pretty much half of the bands on either Nuggets box set) over the Beatles anyday. I love 60's music, just not the Beatles.

20I do have the Pickwick Mercy Beats LP that Lou Reed played on. Does that count? I think they were cover songs, but I doubt I ever played it.
