I've found Protools to be easier if you are use to analog but are switching over to the world of obsoletes, unfixable problems, and storage issues.
Things like Radar, Cubase/Nuendo, Logic, DP3, Sadie, etc. seem to be made for the grownup-in-a-digtal-environment kind of person. It is unfortunate that people have had that type of audio childhood.
But sometimes you have no choice.
( choice = money X time X self-respect)
So i would suggest Protools as the lesser of both evils.
