Rocking Fargo ND?

1
Hey,

Sending a band through Fargo, ND in Nov for a show with some Load recs bands and we were wondering if there's a burgeoning noise scene there or not. I know they do shows @ the Moose Lodge (don't know how to set that up), but was wondering if there's good all-ages opportunities.

where do the Fargo folks like to see their rock?

thx.

hey Dr are you sure Billy is still booking shows there??? remember they were talking about hoping trains all summer? I bet the MO-Macs would be able to tell us who to get a hold of since they just played there...

honestly I think those kids would be up for anything that has some energy to it... I think that was one of the most fun nights I have ever had on tour...

Hey Faiz

The Moose Lodge in Fargo is just fine. I played there years ago and it was a nice setup/sound/whatnot.

For years and years Fargo bands have been these loud, punishing type bands (godHeadsilo, Hammerhead, Honky Sausage--who turned into the Fireballs of Freedom, and a few others). The Load stuff will do just fine there. My bands always got paid nicely at Ralph's (RIP) in Moorhead.

Grand Forks would be a great place to play as well. Mike's Pizza is a fine little club, and I think you get beer and food. I don't know about payment, as we were always local bands and didn't take no cash no how.

Minot's fucking great. Now, this is 2-3 years ago. BJ Moore is the contact there. Email me and I can give you any contacts I have.

Mostly NoDak likes to see live rock music. Why? Cause to many of us it's still a neat little luxury--i.e., a once a week or month type deal.

Lots of luck to any band playing my home state!
