football fan or not, has anyone been watching the debacle surrounding
gary barnett's temporary leave of absence? talk about a quote being
taken out of context. i feel bad for the guy because it seems like he
made a comment about a player that was somewhat of a distraction (and
not that good) and it's been twisted into the fact that he condones
sexual assault.

i sat and watched rick riley of sports illustrated say that barnett shouldn't
have made his comments because she was a solid kicker in high school -
she didn't miss an extra point and she made 3 field goals. what? it
ain't the same, rick.

i hate to lay the reality card out like this, but i'm sure the animals that
play college football have performed plenty of sexual assaults on a variety
of college campuses over the past 2 years and even 2 days.
