Excellent topic.
Over everybody else, I gotta go with Steve on this. Insanely honest, harsh but warm. good with a spatula...Without him, we wouldn't be reading this topic, many many records may have sounded shitty, and I would have never thought to throw drum sticks on the Weber for some makeshift hickory smoked flavorizing with the mellow tang of varnish.

72Cranius. Champion Rabbit. Bambouche. LVP. BRW. Stack. tmidgett. Kerble. Placeholder. El Capitan Reverbo. The Classicist. TMH. Johnnyshape. JoshS (can't remember spelling of last name. . . Solberg?).
And a lot of others.
And the women of the board: Rachael, Itchy M, Bumble. Lame to group you together, I realize, but, cheers.

73I'm a new guy so I don't know all of your business. What I do know is that Kerble's fucking great, and, I dig his band. He's funny and friendly, just like me! Well, I'm not very funny. I try to be funny, but what ends up happening is a lot of rambling. Sorta like right now. I used to post under a different name until Waltermalling gingerly told me that it was offensive. I didn't want to make waves, being a new guy and all, so I changed it. So Walter's cool because he sincerely has my best wishes at heart. And I'm totally kidding. Not about the name change but about Walter having my best wishes at heart. There's that rambling again. You guys have a great board here. I originally joined to find about Scratch Acid reforming, Slint tour dates, new noise, blocking out unwanted radio signals from recording, and creating a very long paragraph. Did I mention how awesome Danger Adventure is? Okay. Enough with Kerble. I'd also like to take this opportunity to say hello to Mrs. Carrie Weston-Leech, or is it Leech-Weston? Hello! *waves enthusiastically* You're awesome and I love you. Not in that way, though, 'cause you're, like, married and stuff. It was great running into you again @ Intonation. Let's play Scrabble or get really drunk. I can totally kick your ass at getting drunk. Fin.

Having said that, there are some genuinely cool people the hang around this board. Who knows in real life you could be total assholes!
This is very true.
It's sometimes hard to evaluate some people.
I sometimes like to start an argument if I'm bored. I wouldn't really do that in real life.
Having now realised that the Swedester is in Oz, I too am wondering what happened to good old Walter. You need these sorts of guys.

What have you all done to Walter!?!

76I'd like to pass along some love to Bob Weston.
A few years ago I went to see Shellac at the Knitting Factory in Manhattan. The girl I was with had some kind of low blood sugar problem that I didn't know about. Without warning she passed out near the front of the stage while the band was setting up. A bouncer saw and started dragging her outside saying something to effect of "If she's gonna die she can't do it here."
Bob saw this and asked me why my friend was suddenly unconscious.
I told him “I really don’t know. We haven’t been drinking and she’s not on drugs.â€

I remember you now. What's up?
Yeah you missed a good show, Krispy Kremes, Pop Tarts, the bar opened up to sell coffee. They closed the set with Copper.

79When I first started coming here, my plan had been only to read the Tech Room and Studio Questions forums.
When, out of boredom, I started to explore the General and Crap/Not Crap boards - there were a some forum members that kept me coming back.
TooManyHelicopters - My god, you post a lot. You've made me laugh out loud on numerous occasions, please continue!
Kerble - You too, have made me laugh countless times! And I still think you have the best avatar I've ever seen.
Angry(est)_Dragon - I think there is a pattern here, you make me laugh as well!
Linus Van Pelt - I've always loved how well articulated your posts are, and I really enjoy reading them.
Ironyengine - From one board to another, you've never failed to amuse me!
Bradley R. Weissenberger - You are so full of sarcasm and wit - those are two of my favorite personality traits. I await the day you throw it my way.
I know I'm leaving out a lot of you, there are too many!
Much love to Electrical.

Those were some great shows.
I was at all three! Saturday night, Sunday morning and Sunday night. Sunday morning was one of the best shows I've ever been to. It was my birthday and I was jumping up and down through the whole set all the way to the right, in front of Bob.
Steve signed my record "Happy Birthday" and my girlfriend and I got the dorkiest picture you've ever seen with him. This particular weekend in Manhattan was the 1st time I've ever seen Shellac, and since then, I've traveled both to Chicago and San Francisco even as broke as I was because I didn't want to miss the opportunity.
Pass along the love to Shellac!
