bands you had-have to own everything by?

At one point, I decided that I needed every Jandek album (LP, of course.) Why, I do not know...

Thankfully, I wised up and put most of what I had on eBay and bought some new gear with the money.

I've pretty much given up on owning EVERYTHING by anyone because I simply don't care that much anymore.

The only artist/band I've ever "needed" to own EVERYTHING by was Greg Dulli/Afghan Whigs. Still my all-time favorite band, I sold some of the more rare items on eBay, like singles, etc.

I wouldn't mind owning everything the Grifters have ever done, but it's not going to happen...

Now this goes back a ways...

But The Iron Maiden. Had to have it all. As many useless Pic Discs and multiple format singles... Bootlegs of Videos... you name it, if i could pry the money loose my parents grasp it was mine. Fitting, as it's all in their closet to this day...

Oddly, nowadays, save for some Jazz... (miles, Coltrane, and Pharoah Sanders for some reason...) i can live with what i can get.

Though i do recall a few years back getting a lil goofy tracking down Will Oldham...

Isn't there an album that just went to their friends?

The Futurist.

What's on it? Is the stuff exclusive to that record?

I have absolutely everything that Helmet have done, everything, you name it, I've got it -Even the Blue Version of Betty and the shite Size Matter -which I had Page sign.

I'd like everything that Jesus Lizard have done -I'm well on the way-

In fact I'd like every single record on the Southern Records website.

What in the blue fuck is the Blue Version of Helmet's Betty? Colored vinyl? I have the extra songs from the 10" on mp3 but they sound pretty CRAP.

Yes, and they never play any of it live either. I believe -could be wrong- it was for some kind of dance performance or art installation. It is all instrumental and very, very good -in places-.

Pariah is great!...

Anyhoo, The "blue" version of Betty is the CD of Betty in a Blue clear case with all the live tracks from Wilma's Rainbow EP on it.
