Funniest Bumper Sticker EVER

The best car-sticker (it was not on the bumper, but I think it still qualifies) was on the back of some white rice-rocket Civic type thing, which the owner had obviously gone to painstaking lengths to conceal the true base-model Civic nature of. One of the things he had done was to affix a sticker under the badging of the car that I presume was meant to say "Type R" -- the "R" was the only letter from the english alphabet, the characters preceding it seeming to be some kind of kanji. Not being versed in the japanese alphabet, I could not say.

But it was not until I got closer to the car that I realized, these are probably not actual kanji letters! In fact, the three characters LOOKED japanese but if you were to look at them just close enought o make out the overall shape of the character, they began to resemble english letters after all. The letters they resembled were, from left to right: "L" "I" and "A".

I laughed very hard at this car-owner, who for the sake of keeping the joke funny I decided had no idea.

I had this bumper sticker on my 1998 Honda Civic until September 12, 2001. After that I drove around with the word "BOMB" covered in electrical (ha!) tape until I decided having a bumper sticker that said "CAR" was ridiculous, and it wasn't likely that the sticker was ever going to be funny again.

Bumper stickers are a pain in the ass to remove.
