I don't really know, haven't been following it very well. I'm sure someone here could probably explain better. Man, you're good at hijacking threads, aren't you?
I think that all the circuit events are over. Yeah, they are. Now they are showing two events each tuesday night. I haven't seen any omaha or 7-stud yet. I thinks it's all been hold'em (NL, PL, and L). The limit one was good I thought. That guy who was a real prick wins a limit even later on. That should be exciting. He's not winning any fans with that attitude, though.
The coverage keeps reinforcing my distaste with no-limit events where it seems like it has to come to a point where they get it all in pre-flop and then the guy with the worst hand has to suck out to win. That's not really poker, it's pure gambling. Might as well play the lottery or flip coins or whatever.
I can get with pot-limit, and a lot of the pros want to change the main event to pot-limit because it's more of a skill game.
All I can ever think about though is that the guys who play for the biggest stakes in the world play almost exclusively limit games when they are not in tournaments. To me, and a lot of other people, limit games really bring out the skill and seperate the good players from the bad ones.
I also think that playing no-limit on the internet is crazy simply because it relies so heavily on reads and tells.
Anyway - sorry to hijack. Back to picking on Major, which I just can't do.
Done here.
