I can also name about 5 or so Chicago area Shellac shows I -didn't- go to... and people always bitch that they "never play" in Chicago... pfft.

I think the only other bands I've seen more than 5 times are Dis, Dianogah, Silkworm and Six Finger Satellite...

This made me remember seeing them at some VFW or something similar somewhere in the northern suburbs. Did Dianogah also play that night?
I wrecked my car into a corn field that night, almost killed everyone.
Other bands I've seen too many times:
Fugazi (at least 20, probably more like 30)
Shellac (Pretty much every one of these shows listed, aside from one or two I was out of town for)
Tortoise (at least 15)
The Make up/weird war/scene creamers (probably 25)

far and away, the band i've seen the most times is definitely Pistol Whipped. if i can't count the 8 or 10 shows that my old band played with them, then i've still seen them the most, maybe another 10 times on top of that.

all the other bands i've seen numerous times are also locals. i'm trying to think of a non-local band that i've seen more than just once or twice... i think the out-of-town band i saw the most times is probably Anthrax, who i saw twice.

local bands rule!!
