I don't think a record is ever quite done until you have a lovely copy of the vinyl in your paws. MP3's cheapen the music in my opinion - as do CD's.
The snap crackle and pops of a vinyl recording has a certain charm and warmth that can not be replicated with digital formats.

42My gripe is usually the sound quality of LIVE Mp3's. Like a bootleg or something. The cymbales always sound like shit. I dont know the ins an outs of that particular compression that goes into the making of the mp3.
It's Just something i have noticed as a particular downfall of the medium.
Other than that i find it quite useful to put 13 albums on 1 cd and listen to them in the car. I tend to do this with albums i wouldn't normally buy outright. But rip to an mp3 for further investigation. i have discovered quite a few jems i would have otherwise passed up.

Have you heard uncompressed versions of this same audio and noticed the cymbals sound better? I suspect this is not a feature of the compression but the recording itself.
