I've always relied on amp reverb. But I'm looking into pedals as of lately. My schedule is hectic, and I haven't had much time to shop around.
Two of the biggest hitters I've come across would be the BOSS Digital Reverb Delay, and some of the Electro Harmonix pedals (Holy Grail, Holier Grail, etc.).
Any opinions on how those (or any reverb units) stack up?!
Reverb
2One of my favorite subjects. I own 3 reverb units now, but have owned others.
1. The Holy Grail - good clean reverb (there are a 3 choices - spring, hall, and some combo of the two called flerb). Its a nice reverb, but the sound/tonal options are quite limited.
2. Boss reverb/delay - A better and more versatile pedal than the Holy Grail. It also sells for about $50 more, even used. Good pedal.
3. Digitech xp400 reverberator - this is probably the best bet. It offers 48 different kind of reverbs whose intensity/amount can be controlled by a whammy pedal. These pedals are no longer made, but you can get em' on ebay for about $70. These pedals are really underated.
4. Alessis Midiverb II - My favorite, though its a cheap rackmount, and can be bought on ebay for $50. Great quality reverb. My first choice. Also has stereo ins and outs, which is good for many applications including using stereo effects or mixing.
