I've read it and I think it's really great. I've never seen the movie. But I plan to.
What do y'all think? Is it extravagant bullshit or art-as-conversation?
Also, how does the movie compare to the book?

5Great play...fantastic movie! Probably the best thing Burton and Taylor ever did together. Powerhouse stuff! Probably one of my favorite films, along with "Sunset Boulevard", and "Dr. Strangelove".
Saw it on stage last fall at U of C. Very well done there too. A slightly different take from the movie, with a few twists from the original script that never made it to screen.
BTW: The actor in the movie that played Nick, George Segal, is the President/Senior Editor character on the show "Just Shoot Me" with David Spade. "Oh, how low must they fall"...

6My favorite movie of all time. Not that great as a FILM (it works more like a filmed play), but it has fantastic performances.

7Haven't read it, but the movie is great. I wish I was watching that movie right now. I haven't posted in 8 months!

8This movie is incredible.
So dark, so violent.
I like it better than the book, actually, but this might be due to the fact that I saw the movie first. Albee is great. "Tiny Alice" is three down in my Sears Tower-tall "to read" pile.

9agreed, fantastic movie. You will gain respect for Elizabeth Taylor if you didn't have any.

10I could be wrong, but wasn't Virgina Woolf a dumb cunt, she called James Joyce an overwritten pimply guy or something of that nature referring to his hertage times 3, or the way he was brought up or some other super dumb shit.
