Their show here was great. Although it was funny seeing the Invert guys crowded on stage w/ them- poor Jason didn't have any room! Mr. Noble is a very nice and funny man.

I'd encourage anyone into the multiheaded Louisville collective to check out the King G and J crew songs on the EA G mail acct (thanks Apl4eris!!!). The beginnings of June of 44/Rodan crossed w/ Public Enemy. Crazy stuff.

I've been wanting to hear that forever. I don't ever check the Gmail account. Thanks for the heads up mattw.

You're quite welcome -I need to get the rest of that stuff up there. It is surprising how tight they were with that insanity. There was a video tape of a live show that we watched in our humanities class (filed under great highschool teachers you wish you could now find and thank profusely). I'd love to see that again.

mattw, did you do that interview? I can't remember when you said that might go down.

btw, there is more recent band/tour info in this thread.

Goddamn poopypants!

Apparently someone in the band, I heard Rachel, broke her arm yesterday just hours before the show in Vancouver! I hope they're doing well and can continue on their tour very soon. Bloody Vancouver!

Just my dumb luck as well, as I've been waiting so very long and patiently for them to come as close to me as Vancouver. One day I will, hopefully.

In the meantime, I wish them all the best.

Bastard Vancouver.

Sorry to bump, but I thought this might be useful info for anyone wanting to catch them on this tour.

Rachels' cancel dates due to broken arm:
2005-11-08
"Rumors were going around Vancouver last night that Rachel's had cancelled their entire tour. Seems their Vancouver show (to have taken place November 7th) and tonight's show in Salt Lake City were cancelled after one of the members broke her arm. They have, however, not cancelled the entire tour as rumors suggested and will continue with the remaining dates on their current tour."

According to the person that booked their Louisville, KY show,
"everything's cool. there will be a substitute cello player."

Oh, and Rachel's finally has a new site up: http://www.rachelsband.com/
Since they are touring with Invert, they will be playing with four more string musicians, thus will be able to play some songs normally only possible in the studio. This is a rare treat!
