I'm with my dad:
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
I also enjoy Bob Dylan's "Blood On The Tracks" and any P.J. Harvey. I'm certain that I'm forgetting some obvious material that I love. (Oh, and the Neil Young live recording from Vancouver that almost broke up my parents' marriage. That one's awesome and totally worth my dad starving everyone for a week.)
Go!
*note: I'm likely about to flunk out of college in a mere 3 hours. Until then, we party on wine and ignore this fact.

Soundtracks to insanity. I wish that I could think of a better way of phrasing it. "Insanity" isn't even the right term. "Uncertainty" or "destined failure" would be more appropriate, really.
What I'm looking for is the best album to accommodate that general feeling of losing it, personally.

9For myself, Ornette Coleman's Tomorrow is the Question or some good frantic Rachmaninoff would do it.
Steely Dan would be the ideal soundtrack for the murderous rampage to follow.
God, I hate Steely Dan.

10I have been committed on four separate occasions and have always thought Spiderland was a very good musical representation of the decent into insanity. Labradford's Prazision and various Stars Of The Lid tracks are good too.
