4This is absolutely terrible news. Just not fucking fair at all. My best goes out to family and friends of the band.

5Oh, that's horrible. I will always remember seeing China doing calisthenics before their set. I hadn't yet seen them, so I didn't know at that point how important calisthenics must have been. She showed me. I hope that her energy will be converted into an equally worthwhile state. And I hope that the bandmates and all the family members recover, to the extent that recovery is possible.
If it wasn't for landlords, there would have been no Karl Marx.

6Michelle Cable, DMBQ's booking agent, was also injured seriously in the crash. She sustained a head injury but is apparently stable and concious.
Michelle Cable is one of those awesome enthusiastic young people who make up an underground music community.
She started her 'zine Panache when she was living in Eureka, which is a pretty remarkable thing in itself.
A couple yrs ago she made the move south to the Bay Area, where her 'zine has continued to thrive and where she began helping both local and several great Japanese bands via Panache Booking.
Salut, Michelle! Hopefully the link I provided above will have info on how to help her soon.

7I'm so sorry for families, friends and fans. Thanks for posting the pic's. Although they also make me sorry I will never get the opportunity to experience them live.
My hopes for speedy recoveries of the injured.

8I'll never forget the one time that I was lucky enough to see this band live. They were completely over-the-top with antics and silliness, but seemed to make it work within their version of hard rock. Tough to explain, maybe... They had the entire audience in the palm of their hand, so to speak. Their show bordered on ridiculous, but maintained just enough sincerity and literal danger to be taken seriously.
It's a damn shame.
