alan vega, martin rev.
suicide.
(did a search, found nothing. apologies if been done.)
Band: Suicide
2Their first album tickles me a lot especially that 'Che' song, which has a bunch of gorgeous noise and some right-on lyrics.
But afterwards they recorded so much crap, and mostly the crappiest of crap.
Not Crap, just for Che and Ghost Rider.

3suicide [first album] and suicide [second album] are brilliant. i haven't listened to much after those two, and from what i hear, i don't really have to.

5That first record is great but the version I have has a couple of added tracks which are alternately dopey, embarrassing and horrible. I don't know much about this band, but I'm guessing that from these "additions," Suicide became a very sucky band.
I'm gonna say NOT CRAP no matter how sucky they got.

6your not talking about the song "keep your dreams", are you? that song totally rules.
but their best song is probably "girl" -- though i've never listened to anything beyond the double disc reissue of the second album. they're not the sort of band that inspires completism.

7N.C. by a long shot, and we all know the reasons why. But they have recorded some total pooh. American Supreme anyone?
I thought not.

8Not Crap, though I only know the first two records.
So good, the recent "band" threads in this forum! Whitehouse, Merzbow, Suicide... Seperates the boys from the men, hehe.

ok, ok, ok this record American Supreme, ok jah, this record is total crap. I admit that, however there is something really...sick about this record. I listen to this record, not frequently, but I enjoy it when I do, because there is something great to my ears listening to Alan Vega coo and groan over what sounds like the Arsenio Hall Band. So much terrible "scratching" sounds, that would have sounded dated in 1990, much less in 2002. This record is horrible! And beautiful! God, I can't believe I am defending it and you are free to say "Classical, you are out-of-your-mind" and yeah maybe its true, but I still say this is a very Suicide sounding shitty record. Confusing.
anyway n.c., even the crap
