guys, have you read the wording on the gay marriage ban in texas? it actually can negate any marriage whatsoever. PLUS it states that texas doesnt have respect marriages from out of state, this flys in the face of the full faith and credit act. this will never stick, its impossible. i voted in hopes that people would not think that we were all morons.

by the way i was born and raised in texas, i dont think i have to defend my state. fuck my state, but fuck any state for that matter...its a state. ive met dickheads everywhere.

What a lovely woman. I wish she had been willing to run for President.

I met Ann Richards during my first stint in college, and she is everything that is good about Texas: a no-nonsense, witty, charismatic lady with some gumption and a willingness to do what she thinks is best.

However, Ms. Richards would be shot down in a matter of moments because of her sexual preference.

Because, as the Texas vote revealed once again, us open minded folk seem to be surrounded by some A-1 bigot fucks.

Thanks to the Defense of Marriage Act, Texas' nullification of out-of-state gay marriages is specifically allowed. The Supreme Court can always disagree with DOMA on that point, saying it oversteps Congress' authority under the Full Faith And Credit clause. But I'm thinking the likelihood of that is slim/fat and getting even slimmer/fatter in a month or two.
