From the bathroom of a bar in the Tenderloin in SF (the Irish dive whose name escapes me, but which was frequented by the members of TFUL 282) there was the following intriguing graffito in the early nineties:

"Only YOU are shit."

This became a hilarious in-joke amongst the three of us who were honored to observe it. It's simplicity and specificity still bring a smile to my face.

This wasn't the Edinburgh Castle, which is trechnically Scottish, but a semi dive and rock friendly.

Olympia WA at the Eastside Tavern (which also contains some very fine "grout" grafitti).

Before they repainted the men's room at Howard's Club H in BG, OH, my favorite was the one over the urinal that read "Don't look up here, the jokes in your hand."

Graffiti in front of Urinal : "why are you looking up here, the jokes in your hand"
