Best amp for baritone guitar

You're talking about a hollow body baritone here? In that case, no worries. My buddy has played his through our Deluxe before with no problems. Mind you, he doesn't play super loud or agressive stuff, so that may be a slight difference, but it's not like the lower register is gonna cause your amp trouble.

Don't like the baritone through the Deluxe, but that's a different story. We like either my buddy's Reverb-O-Rocket, or my Gibson GA8T for the baritone best. They're both easier to control the volume and natural distortion on for recording purposes. Live, I'd pick the Ampeg over the Gibson. For what any of that is worth...

(edit) O.K. so now I'm at work, and I realize that I was (sorta) talking out my ass above. My experience has been more with tenor guitar, than baritone (stupid early morning face emoticon...)

Still, I can't see you having trouble. I mean, I've recorded several bass tracks through that Deluxe with no trouble. It's good for a bright and fuzzy bass. If you like those new Fenders and you're worried about your Deluxe, maybe a shift up to the 4x10 version is in order? What is that one, the Hot Rod DeVille? I think that's it. Lower register stuff seems to sound pretty bitchin' coming out of a 4x10...

I run my dano through any of my amps and they seem to go fine: If you're really all that worried use a small bass amp (my ampeg b-15 sounds gorgeous with the bari) but my Silvertone twin 12 crunches nicely with it.

I've also recorded it through a little 5-watt 8" tube amp, miked across the bell, and it sounded as big as God. Wouldn't want to do that for extended periods though.

I'd say going with anything 2x12 or bigger, you should be fine.

Just speaking as a vintage tube gear nut.

Milford- decent crowd at the Pussycat, or what?

My outfit played there recently, to the teeming horde of other musicians playing there that night. Apparently, it would kill them to advertise a little.

Bastards don't even cut the musicians a free beer in this friggin' town. Grr!
