Dec 29th @ Black Cat in Wash DC
Dec 31st @ Bottom of the Hill SF w/Fucking Champs
(also playing this show as Fucking AM which is both bands together)
Trans Am
13Most of their stuff can be summed up by the last two tracks off Van Halen's Fair Warning.
If they just released a mini-"best of", it would be fun.. and I liked the first two albums and Futureworld for a while, but I ended up selling them all back. They are a bit entertaining live certainly.
CRAP but
7 or so.

CRAP but

Heh heh...I think they say that at every show...according to ThrillJockey.com they've got two shows coming up.
That Trans Am...buncha jokesters.
What they said at the show was "this is it... FOR NOW." Considering that Phil's playing with TFC now and Nathan's moved to New Zealand or something, they are at best an occasional band.

15I talked to Seb. Thompson at the Weird War show a couple months ago. He said that they will be making a record/tour/etc. happen in 2006. I said, "so you haven't actually broken up since Phil moved to San Fran to play with the Champs etc." He said, "yeah, and I just actually moved to London; long story. But, no, we've been doing this way to long to stop, we're already talking about what will happen for the next record, and we'll start working on it next year."
And by the way, I love 'TA'...

I enjoy the Frequency record. You're right though, it's not Trans Am.

Were really good and then all of a sudden released TA, one of the worst albums of all time.
The best part of that record is how hard everyone tried to like it.
However, this band definitely brought it with the previous albums. Each one has its own unique merits.
NOT CRAP.
