I absolutely adored this band.
I am always shocked that I never meet anyone ever who has even heard of them. Even older muscians who seem like they should. I find this odd because I know they had a following. The worst part is when people think that I am talking about Silverchair.
So, I know people on here have to be familiar with them. Discuss!
Did anyone ever get a chance to see them live? What did Stve think about them.
Also, does anyone know what the members went on to do afterwards? Except Leslie and that Ruby crap. I have never been able to find any info....I just think Fuzz was such an amazing guitarist and I find it hard to believe that he couldn't have done anything worthwhile after Silverfish.
Fat Axl also had one of the best drums sounds ever...

I saw them last at the Astoria in London in about 1993, they were great. The gig lingers in memory for one absurd detail that I wonder if I didn't make up - all through the set there was a guy in white furry fringed jacket and matching cowboy hat who did nothing except sit side-saddle on the guitarist's amp occasionally slapping his leg. He was having a high old time up there.

I never did try the recipe for 'Silverfish with scrambled eggs'.

Leslie was so cool. Saw them live loads in the early nineties.

heir version of Rock on was marvellous

The gentleman in question was a fixture at London hardcore-related gigs in the 90s. He was (is?) a professional fireman/firefighter who did terrifying performance-art involving flames and chainsaws.

He had an amazing collection of cowboy-type clobber, and a mightily impressive (and much flaunted) physique!

I can almost remember his name...a very pleasant chap. Ha!! I said 'chap'!!

See what I did there?

*I assume that one leg of a pair of 'chaps' is a 'chap', non?

Not Crap.

I still listen to Organ Fan quite a bit.

I always wanted one of those "Hips, Tits, Lips, Power" shirts but never got around to getting one.

I bet some hipster boutique in Willamsburg has one, for $85. Just like the My Bloody Valentine shirts. At least I'm in fashion again.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures

Not crap, for sure.

Organ Fan was probably the loudest sounding record i had growing up. Even when the volume was down it just sounded really loud.

And Pink and Lovely, from Fat Axl, is a great song. I really like the drum sound on that album.

-Cheers
