spiderland
definitly one of the best albums i have ever heard, and at the moment in my top 5 favorites. it sounds so amazing, and the vocals are unmatched. the silence and subtle wispering and desperation in the singing just leaves one stunned. even though the album is quite emotional, it isnt emoted to the point of disgust.
nsorfuto man (no idea how to spell it, but neither does shakespeare)
is ...........................................................................AWESOME
i also think the album cover/layout is simply genius despite its simplicity.
hehe repitition.

12Slint's "Spiderland" is something of a musical lithmus test for a very specific culture.
For me, and this is silly but I'll tell you....the the 5/4 break in "nosferatu man" gives me the willies EVERY TIME I hear it:
nuh nuh...
nuh nuh nuh nah nah NUUUH...
nuh nuh...
nuh nuh...
nuh nuh.. (SNAP!)

i know! the harmonics in that particular part and at the very end of goodmorning captain are always goosebump material.
i hold this album in the very highest esteem, arguably in my top 5 cds ive ever heard in my life, and i dont think thats pushing it.

www.zerotec.com
a great site run by, I believe, one of the fellows from Man or Astroman?
Fast, courteous, and efficient.
OR
contact Touch and Go Records for direct order. Again, courteous and efficient, and they turned me on to Uzeda.

18I've never cried to a song, but if I were gonna it'd be Good Morning, Captain.
Right where he goes I'm sorry... and I missed you

19I've come near tears to Neutral Milk Hotel's "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea." Spiderland is astonishingly beautiful though, except for that one song "For Dinner...", that song is kind of a drag.

20Did someone have negative commments about Tweez? I love that record. Ron is a great song on that album.
There's a song I downloaded because i dont know what recording its from, but it's their best song without a doubt. its called "Nameless".
If anyone knows where it came from, I'd liek to buy the actual recording of it.
