i have only heard their music and know not what they look like or who is in the band.

i would like to suggest another english band but i'm a bit stumped. the sunshine republic are very good. i have also heard good things about todd and trencher.

anyone else know some good loud english bands?

I supposed it's down to taste. I saw them before the Melvins and just thought, "why are a crappy Melvins cover band on first?"

Good new heavy UK bands... That's a toughie... in London especially bands are more interested in following tends than starting them, hence all bands sound like 80s post-punk...

Hopefully my new band will address the imbalance, we're still looking for a drummer.

I think we played with Sunshine Republic, they were good, but considering that they had two more members than us, we were still louder. not that I'd reccomend my band for this thread.

Part Chimp are the loudest band I've seen, then it could have been mass sound trickery.
My pretty pony! Why, Zorak, why? You could have had any woman you wanted! But you chose the woman I love almost as much as I love myself! You ruined my life, you ruined her life, and now, I'm going to ruin your life!!!

Image? Part CHIMP? WHAT? Have you seen that band? I think the word 'image' is pretty far from the Chimp. They are ace because they have no image, they're regular johns in band form. Huge sweaty monkey men. and Shaggy from Scooby Doo in Scouse form. I love the Chimp.
They are also the only band to put me in hospital with volume - true. Not a good thing.

May I recommend the following weighty slab of vinyl:
Part Chimp / Todd / Lords / Hey Colossus
Split 10" on Rock Action / Southern / Gringo / Jonson Family
All UK bands (OK Craig from TODD is a Texan), all loud, all good.

Sounds like you enjoy their Huge sweaty monkey men. and Shaggy from Scooby Doo in Scouse form image.

Image and volume aside, sluggy and boring would be the next two words we could use

God's Temple Of Family Deliverence
Bowel
Cardinale
Sea of Thousand

They all have websites/myspaces, you'll thank yourself for looking.

I can confirm the ferocity of God's Temple. They practice in my space.

Their volume has caused our neighbors to completely rearrange their rehearsal schedules.
**Do we need the other Chemical Bros. records??
