This is exactly the case for me. I was excited to have it prescribed to me & see what all the fuss was about. Not only did not take the pain away or make me high, but i barfed after the 2nd dose. Tylenol 3 & ultracet make me higher than a kite and take away whatever pain i'm feeling.
unlike tylenol 3 and anti-inflamatories such as motrin, vicodin (just like all other opiates, synthetic or not) does not "kill" pain, it simply puts you in a state of mind where you don't care about it. as you can imagine, this is a great state of mind to be in. it's a subtle effect though. unlike the majority of drugs that are taken recreationally most people could be given vicodin and not know it. they'd probably just be more relaxed, comfortable, and carefree. it kind of gives you an inner warmth and coziness. this drug is highly addictive though and it's bad for not only your liver, but your heart and digestive track too. and drinking alcohol with it is fucking awful for you. so watch out.
