i think they have both appeal to idiot frat dudes and fans of subversive/"alternative" comedy, and probably for completely different reasons...I enjoy the D for the same reasons I like other comedy troupes like Stella or Jon Benjamen and Jon Glasser, for the interplay between the characters....The songs get old, epecially after the umpteeth time at school i'd see some mongloid jock get the room's attention by strumming Fuck Her Genlty on their strategically placed acoustic guitar, but to me the way the characters interact with each other is what makes Kyle and Jack so fucking funny...but I was introduced to the TV show first before the album, plus I checked it out due to the Mr. Show connection, which likely taints my opinion a bit....
