Might be my downfall.
Must be good gin. Anything below Tanqueray is worthless piss water and should never be consumed.
If you have only had a gin and tonic with "rail" or crap gin you are missing out on the best darn drink ever.
Citadelle is my choice right now but Van Gough is the best I have had.
Bombay Saphire is the grand ol' standby.

2You should check out the gin our local SF treasure Anchor Brewing (makers of Anchor Steam) makes:Junipero.
I cannot overestimate how good this gin is.

3Yummy, second only to vodka and tonic.
There are crispy fries waiting to come out of your oven: you just have to make them and put them there.

4With a twist of lime, perfection.
I resisted saying "perchfection". I'm getting better.

5I'm with you guys on the Gin & Tonics - especially with the caveat that it has to be *good* gin.
I'll second that Junipero is very, very good. That said, I have never tasted a drink of any kind as good as an Old Raj & Tonic. Especially after the lime wedge has had some time to infuse itself in there.
Capn - The Palm Tavern has both Old Raj ($10 a drink - but somehow worth it) and Junipero. I believe that Nessun Dorma has them both as well.

I have never heard of this gin. Thanks!
"Old Raj and Tonic" sounds like the circumstances under which Kerble was conceived.

7Not Crap! Very tasty! I don't drink! More than half the alcohol I've consumed in my life has been gin - and almost all of that in gin and tonics. If they made non-alcoholic gin (VirGinTM?), they'd have one loyal customer right here.
I don't know good gin from bad gin, but my grandfather, who likes martinis, prefers the cheaper gin. He can afford the good stuff; he just actually prefers the cheap stuff.

Why do you make it so scary to post here.

10In Britain G&T has acquired the undeserved reputation of being a footballer's/girl's drink.
Anyone with sense and style knows that it is actually the true drink of the gentleman.
Another gin you may not know: Plymouth. A good, expensive, salty gin - its heaviness works incredibly well with tonic.

Back off man, I'm a scientist.
