What, it's really full of gangsters? Come on, tell me!

Let's just say it's very Italian-American. I'm afraid to say much more for fear of, how you say, being whacked!

When I used to work at the CBOT I would have to associate with these types every day. Not as glamorous or high livin' as it may seem....just a batch of scumbag losers, drug addicts, gambling junkies, etc...
From time to time I see one of my old bosses in the sun times get indicted for some scam or another, and it makes me smile.
One russian mafioso tough guy type from down there still owes me 2400 bucks, the scumbag. I worked for him for a good 6 months without getting paid. It's always 'Oh, I'll take care of you when things turn around for me..blah blah' then subtly (did I spell that right?) threaten you into not getting too upitty about it.
The only good part was partying with them when they were making money, they love to throw it around and you can get away with pretty much any sort of behavior in public.
They seemed to be able to get away with whatever crimes they wanted as well, including murder. One dude killed another dude outside a bar, everyone knew it and talked about but he was never arrested.
