How come some programmes can use the word cunt and other shows, like sitcoms, have a limit on how many times per season they can say bastard or penis?

In England there are certain channels you're more likely to hear swearing on but really anyone can say anything they like after 9pm. Things like bastard you can get away with a bit earlier.

hbo can, to some extent, say or show whatever they like as they are a pay channel. people that want hbo have to subscribe to it thus removing it from many strictures placed on free networks which broadcast on the airwaves "owned" by the government.

If you are a network that doesn't require advertising revenue you can say/show whatever content is within the law. Pretty much anything but hardcore porn. Most channels that are able to do this are subsciption based.

Deadwood is a fun show. I started watching it after the Sopranos during the first season and I liked it quite a bit. Is it available on Netflix?

The first season of Deadwood is on Netflix, yeah...I have a soft spot for HBO...and Six Feet Under! What good shows, the HBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That redhead is quite foxy.

I really enjoyed the last episode. Just the fact that the first line of dialog to start the episode was "did you fuck me while I was out?" had me laughing and stuck to the television.

I'm sure a few of you were watching last night.
