yeah: countdown, royal scam, katy lied, gaucho are the reasons i love the dan. i don't much care for the earlier stuff, or "aja". kerble that cartoon is great. read that hilarious online interview (linked in the "mu chord" message) to see what insufferable pricks those guys are.

Anyone heard the pre Can't Buy a Thrill stuff - demo's and such? Imagine the Dan without the expert playing and with bedroom type recording quality. What you get is...weird. But compelling. Mostly weird, though.

I bought my copy in a truck stop god knows where. The two CD set is actually called Best of or something completely misleading. But I didn't recognize the song titles so I guessed at what it was.

i believe the two cd set you are referring to is "catalyst". i have it. disc one is kinda boring piano/voice stuff but disc two has great full band songs like "soul ram" and "come back baby":
