These guitars aren't very esoteric, but used hecho en Mexico strats of recent manufacture are a good deal. I played two yesterday that sounded great. One was priced at $120 and the other was $200. The Mexican Buddy Guy sig strat is very nice.

I have two S-300s and will likely get more (other types) of this era. I didnt paid more than 100 bucks for either of them.

Kim Thayil (Soundgarden) played S-100s exclusively. Guild actually started making them again because of him. I think this accounts for their comparative priciness.

i have a yamaha sgv 800 guitar black glitter. sounds good plays pretty well i dont even use the trem so it isnt an issue with me. ill be selling it soon! any takers? c'mon!

Ovation has made some completely ridiculous and nearly unplayable instruments. I give you:

The Preacher
The Breadwinner

As far as I can tell, only the very small (like myself and Chris Knox) can play the Breadwinner effectively. If only they made a proper lefthanded one that I could find! Playing this upside down is pretty impossible whilst sitting down.

why don't more people use these?
