Foodstuff: Cheap Instant Noodles

For a while in Japan this was all I ate for lunch. It was easy to bring to work, add hot water, and eat. Also, very cheap and tasty, and they have a good variety. They call it cup-noodle. I am also told that cup-noodle is Japanese slang for what we might call a "two-minute man."

Cup-noodle!

EDIT! It appears I made a mistake. This is not a poll on cups of noodles, but on packets of noodles. Hey! Not Crap either - you don't have to use the whole flavor packet - use just a pinch or none at all; it's tastier, and I'm guessing healthier.
Why do you make it so scary to post here.

i used to eat thoese ones in the upper right corner when i was in engineering school. if i remember right they came with a seasoning packet, a dried green onion and tofu packet, and a packet of stinky grease. and they were pretty good. especially the "spicy" ones.

A half stick of butter and 8 oz of zero fiber noodles in every bowl? How couldnt it be? Kraft Mac n Cheese is like eating hard candy coated in Crisco for dinner.

Mmmm. Hard candy and Crisco.

Oh, and noodle packets arent CRAP, but as in all things, only in moderation. As mentioned, it's totally worth it to go to Asian supermarkets to avoid getting the standard ramen one finds in a Safeway or whatever. If youre gonna eat a teaspoon of salt for dinner, it oughta at least taste good.

A vote against cheap instant noodles is a vote against any honest, non-sell-out, rock and roll band that's actually burned a few years of their lives living that true, but less than glamorous, rock and roll dream. Dave Matthews, I'm sure, ate the fancy shit.
