As repulsive as Matthew Wauck's comments are to me, I give him a certain level of credit for putting his name behind his opinions.
Why?
What is it about speaking or writing under one's legal identity that warrants respect 'by the fact itself?'
If I woke up tomorrow and learned that the Bradley R. Weissenberger who posts on this board was not Bradley R. Weissenberger but, say, Brenden Weissen (or whatever), it wouldn't make a lick of difference to me. I don't see why it should.
It's not a legal thing, surely; is it a good vs. bad faith thing? Are the anonymous and pseudononymous necessarily posting in bad faith or something?
This is not a hostile question. I honestly don't understand the concern with other people's names.
