I can't believe how good 'Is This Real?' is.... almost -- or maybe entirely -- flawless.

I forgot three Wipers records on the train last week end. Three. These records were my companions for a long time. Fuck shit dick fuck.

I agree with that Is this Real? Is as close to a flawless record as you can get. I haven't heard any of their stuff post Over the Edge, but I like everything up to that point, though Is this real? Stands out head and shoulders above the rest.

I just recently got into this band when i bought "over the edge" on lp. i was in portland and some friends had mentioned them as something of a portland icon for punk rock.

my question is: does anyone else see how much the hot snakes "borrowed" from these guys, especially the guitar playing/tone/um...everthing on "over the edge," sans the vocals?

Yeah. That was my 1st thought when I heard Hot Snakes. Hot Snakes are not Not Snakes.

Yes. The extra stuff on the boxed set version is pretty mind numbing as well. "Born With a Curse" is one of the best rock and roll songs ever to grace this world.
