that album has lyrics, although they sound like they're sung by a mythical japanese monster most of the time. one of my favorite vocal performances of all time is the 4th song on disc two. the pretty one.

i'm surprised no one's mentioned acid mothers temple. they are hit or miss but i think some of the best psychadelic music in recent history (if not ever) has come from this band. <i>mantra of love</i> is a psychadelic masterpiece in my opinion. it has some lyrics, but not many. and they are sung beautifully.

this is one of the worst band names of recent history. these guys played here in the rural upper peninsula recently and i was like, "what kind of shit japanese band manages to get a gig in the upper peninsula? one with shitty a name i guess." i went and saw them simply because they were from tokyo and playing in the u.p. and i was very pleasantly surprised. they were pretty amazing live.

don't think that the u.p. is a shitty place to play though. the kids here have nothing to do and when a good band shows up and is well advetised about 200 of them come out of the woodwork and go fucking nuts. nobody is too cool to dance and act like a maniac at a wild, all ages rock show in the u.p., except maybe me. most bands are astonished and come back regularly.
