Acoustic 220 head, and either a 2x15/2x12 Frankencab i made, or the 1x18 Acoustic 301 i got with the head depending on the venue.
Never tried them both together... yet.
An Ampeg 8x10 is on my shopping list when i find a used one cheap enough

In San Francisco, where people live in tiny apartments, bands have rehersal spaces that aren't part of a residence, and ownning a car is not required, people unload 8-10s for amazingly cheap. if a band dies, and the bassist has an 8-10, they usually have 'til the end of the month to sell it, because they can't keep it at their house, and they won't have a practice space.

because of this, you can find 8-10s for 300-400 dollars all the time. A friend of mine saw a traynor tube head and two 8-10 cabs for $600 total. Insane!

You know what might work well? Find a touring band from america who's touring europe. Get them to take a cabinet over. If you're serious, a friend's band is touring UK/Europe in September.

I have a '79 P Bass. I play it through my guitar head (Rivera S120) and when playing live I use my crappy old Crate 4x12 cab because I don't care if I blow the speakers. It sounds really gritty in a cool way.

Late 90s (98' I think) Ibanez Soundgear 800 Series. (Very) early 70's Ampeg V4 head (modded to run on either newer Sovtek tubes or 7027s, its running on Sovtek right now, had reverb removed, it was Benny Clark of Elliot's old amp in Falling Forward, The Loved). 1971 Fender Bassman 2x15 cab.

brass pick-> DR hi-beams-> a '98 (stock) fender p-bass, or a '98 (modded) fender jazz bass-> traynor ts50b->qsc rmx 1450->2 ampeg 4x10's.

i only ever played bass in one band, and i didn't have a bass amp. however, i managed to concoct one out of my pa rig; so that was two 15" cabs, and a pa amp at 300w. i put the bass through my spirit folio mixer so i had some eq control.
sounded good.
