2I've seen Sennheiser headphones (for musicians) and a Furman headphone distribution system with (satellite controls so that each musician can customize their mix).

3Anyone at electrical want to confirm the above statement?

5OK. After reading Greg's new post under his fancy pants tech journal, i stand corrected. They now have the Furman system in Studio B as well. Power to the people.

7I would guess it's the HDS-6/HR-6 system. That one uses two standard CAT-5 Ethernet cables (labeled Gray and Blue by Furman) to carry the signals. Note the "Gray" and "Blue" labels silk-screened on the mic panel in this photo:

The fancier HDS-16/HRM-16 system uses an even wackier Centronics multi-pin jobber. For more information on Furman headphone monitor systems, consult your local library or go here:

Or I'm completely full of shit and someone will call me on it.

This is true
Sorry, I just noticed this post.
We use Sennheiser HD 25 SP headphones. They sound great, block the outside world out, are light, but aren't the most reliable.
We are auditioning new headphones now.
If you guys know of any good closed-back headphones out there, let us know.
Something that you have had long-term experience with.
